    Any red wine is good to cook with.
    Don’t spend a lot of money on a bottle you are going to cook….drink the expensive, use the cheap in your food.

    Whatever you do, don’t use “cooking wine”. It has tons of salt and tastes terrible. Never cook with a wine you wouldn’t drink!

    That said, if you are ok with chateu di Box, then go ahead. I like to use Sutterhome. Pretty cheap and I don’t mind drinking it too much.

    Save the expensive one to drink!
